RvB Ganked 145: Enyo Face

on Monday, December 8, 2014
It's been months since I've flown with RvB Ganked, and they're one of my favorite pubfleets. This weekend's roam was called The Last Joust, as the enyo assault frig is supposed to lose its jousty thing with Rhea this week (even though in this video preview, the new enyo still has an antenna thing on it).

This is basically what RvB
Ganked does to people
My laptop nearly died just as the roam was starting, which was heartbreaking. During that time, the fleet asploded a freighter for insurance fraud. Finally, after an hour of tinkering I managed to resurrect the laptop enough to at least run EVE and mumble, and then caught up with the massive frigate ball. As is typical for RvB, there were around 200 pilots in fleet. This is usually enough to take down all but the most prepared gangs. Even with that in mind, we generally manage to avoid being blueballed. There are stragglers on gates that the tacklers sometimes manage to pin down, and Mang can often find or negotiate a battle. For my part I am quite happy to welp my ship, so long as I get a good fight out of it.

It was in the lowsec system of Agoze that we found our first victims. A small Cynosural Field Theory gang was sitting on a gate. EVE Uni was there as well and together our fleets focused on Cyno. They had two armageddons, two napocs, and interestingly enough, two triage carriers. That was a nice long fight, with a lot of jostling around the field and "accidental" potshots between us and the Uni.. We then spent the better part of two hours playing games with EVE-U. They had a decent-sized fleet with a lot of cruisers and logi. Perhaps not enough to welp us, but enough to get a big, awesome brawl and kill a lot of our frigs with sheer alpha. But per their usual tactics, they tried to avoid us. Eventually we managed to get them to kind of commit, and we had a short and energetic fight. We took down quite a few of their cruisers, including a gila, orthrus, a random waffle eagle, a scimi, and much more. We had to chase them around Abune and engage in a few different locations. We took a few losses ourselves, mostly cheap frigs. Eventually they disengaged and that was more or less it for the night. Not a bad Ganked at all. Following is a video made by Oochar detailing the highlights of the roam.
